Fountain of Hope

We are led to obey God’s call on us to serve His people in the central Dominican Republic provinces of La Vega and Salcedo; to share His love & hope, break down barriers, and build bridges between God, the church, and the community – all for His kingdom. 

We aim to encourage, train, and equip young people & families to live as active members of God’s kingdom; to be a support and resource to existing churches and ministries through collaboration and by providing supplemental services. 

ABOUT US…

Fountain of Hope is an, urban youth outreach in La Vega, the central-west area of the Dominican Republic. Despite serving people of all ages, our principal target group is ages 9-29 years. We encourage, train, and help equip young people and families to live as active members of God’s kingdom; conduct camps (in a remote mountain area); mentor; conduct Bible studies, children’s Sunday school, support groups and trainings for men, women, teens, married couples, and families; and provide supplemental services to existing churches and ministries.  We provide experiences outside the barrio in God’s beautiful creation by offering time in nature, farming, and animal husbandry. We serve the urban community through various outreach projects, always striving to show and share the love of Jesus in everything we do. 

 Travis Adams

Travis is from Portland, Oregon and now resides full time with his wife Tati in the Dominican Republic (D.R.). After many mission trips to several countries as a teenager, Travis has served God in the D.R. since 1998. He sustained an independent, informal ministry from 2002 until 2014 when he formalized his ministry and Fountain of Hope was established under the auspices of Abiding Place Church.  Travis’ passions range from raising children up to love and trust Jesus to helping adults shed addictions and turn their lives over to Jesus, and so much in between. Knowing the needs of people change regularly, Travis recognizes he must be flexible and ready for whatever & wherever God directs him. His core passion is obedience to God, serving Him by loving and serving His people as He divinely guides and reveals His plans in His timing.
