Family Camp 2019

Thursday, August 15, ’19  - -    Sunday, August 18, ‘19

This year we have a total of nine sites at South Beach State Park, south of Newport, Oregon, one mile south of Yaquina Bay Bridge.  All the pre-purchased sites are around “E” loop,. We have  nine sites (total 72 spaces) available. You can register and pay through Abiding Place.

The paved jetty trail provides a perfect place to jog or ride a bicycle. Forgot your bike? The Hospitality Center rents out bikes daily during the summer months, and you can also purchase bike helmets. Please note, Oregon State Law requires persons under 16 years old to wear protective headgear when riding or operating a bicycle!

Other activities around the park include fishing, crabbing, boating, surfing and beach combing. Attractions nearby include the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, marine life exhibits at the Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Our last full day at the camp includes a potluck, so come prepared to share! Some of our favorite memories include worship around campfires, children going from campsite to campsite making smores, taking a canoe down the nearby Beaver Creek, and treks to nearby Rogue Brewery.

There are warm showers, electrical, and water hook-ups. Come and join us!

Because the sites are pre-purchased, registration will not be complete without  payment. You can register by contacting Laurie to make payment arrangements by check or cash, or register on our “contact” page on this website. Make sure you let us know how many people so we can find the site perfect for you and compute the cost!

$25/person,  $80/family of 4, $20 thereafter per person.
