Small Groups

We recognize the life-giving value of being in community. Small groups offer a more intimate setting to connect with each other and be transformed by life-giving teaching, prayer and fellowship.

I really want to know God, personally and intimately.” Do those words resonate with you? You’re tired of just going through the motions of being a Christian: Go to church. Pray. Be nice. That spiritual to-do list just doesn’t cut it. But what does? How do you step out of the drudgery of religious duty to experience a living, moment-by-moment, deeply intimate relationship with God? Join Lysa Terkeurst and Abiding Women in six small group sessions that will transform your walk with God. Go from lackluster theory to vibrant reality!

“Abiding Women” meets on the first and third Saturdays of every month, beginning Saturday, March 16 for these six sessions. Purchase your own book and/or study guide to go along with the class through Amazon, Abe Books, or on Lysa’s website. Please register by filling out a “contact us” form on the dropdown menu under “ABOUT” at the top of this page, letting us know you plan to attend. Contact Eunice Mitchell at (503) 208-2109 for more information. Class is held at Abiding Place downstairs in room 105.

School of Ministry

We greatly value continual transformation into the fullness of Christ. Classes give us the opportunity to define and develop our relationships with God and each other, and equip/train us to impact our world.  School of Ministry classes begin in September, 2018, with classes continuing through May, 2019. Classes may be subject to change. Other classes occur quarterly.

Kingdom Ambassadors

Three Weeks, Tuesday, April 23—Tuesday, May 7

We are governors in training, preparing to rule and reign with our King. We are ambassadors of Heaven’s Government to the peoples and authorities of planet earth. We are carriers of God’s glory and presence. We are peacemakers brokering restored relationship and citizenship in the Kingdom of God.

In the class “Kingdom Ambassadors,” we will explore the importance of dreams and visions, the significance of where we put our feet, crossing our Jordan, learning offensive warfare, choosing the right weapons, defeating our giants and claiming our inheritance of land, cities and nations.

Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your possession.” Psalm 2:8

Taught by John Cooke. Register by email:, or by filling out your information on our Contact page, drop down menu under “About”.
